More choice for winter trips from Berlin

Eurowings is expanding its winter route network at BER and adding new direct connections. With eleven aircraft set to be stationed in Berlin in future and more than 300 crew members on site, the range of destinations from the capital continues to grow.

New to the schedule: Bologna. The Italian university city combines historic alleyways, vibrant food spots and true dolce vita and from next winter, it will be reachable nonstop from BER for the very first time. The new connection to the capital of the Emilia-Romagna region complements the growing Italy portfolio, which already includes destinations such as Rome, Naples and Olbia, while further strengthening Berlin’s direct links to attractive European cities.

And for anyone looking to swap cold winter days for a bit more sunshine, there’s more good news: additional flights to Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Tenerife will offer even greater flexibility when planning a getaway. The new Bologna route will be available from €49.99 in the BASIC fare. Flights to Bologna as well as the additional Canary Islands services can be booked now.

Berlin’s flight offering within the Lufthansa Group is also continuing to grow: together with Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines and SunExpress, the Group now accounts for around 30 per cent of all connections at BER. The growth is especially visible at Eurowings itself: after starting with just three aircraft stationed in Berlin following the pandemic, eleven aircraft will soon connect the German capital with around 50 destinations.
